Toledo and Naples sit on the same interstate, I-75, 1,278 road miles apart. On a route that long, heading either way, two drivers take turns, so the van keeps going while your loved one rests. At the other end, the crew gets them settled into the next bed.
I-75 runs from Toledo through Dayton and Cincinnati, then on through Atlanta to Tampa and Naples. I-71 links Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati and ends in Louisville. I-77 heads south from Cleveland through Akron, Canton and Marietta, then on through West Virginia to Charlotte and South Carolina. I-70 crosses the middle of the state, from Indiana past Dayton and through Columbus to Wheeling. I-80 and I-90 share the Ohio Turnpike from the Indiana line to Elyria. From there, I-90 goes through Cleveland and along the lake toward Erie, and I-80 continues past Youngstown into Pennsylvania. Whichever way your loved one is headed, these are the roads that connect Ohio to the rest of the trip.
Many Ohio snowbirds go south for the winter and come back with the spring thaw. From Toledo, Dayton or Cincinnati, I-75 runs straight to Florida's Gulf Coast. From Cleveland, many take I-77 south. If your loved one can't fly or ride in a car anymore, we make that same trip with them in a real bed, in either direction. Give us the date as soon as you have it.
The snow belt takes in eastern Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties, and I-90 runs through it toward Erie. It tends to start in November and can keep going until the lake freezes over. The National Weather Service says a narrow band can drop 2 to 3 inches of snow an hour while the sun shines a mile or two away. If your loved one is leaving from out there, or coming home to it, leave some room in the winter schedule. We watch the forecast and move the timing if the roads aren't safe.
Most drives between Ohio's big cities don't reach our 200-mile minimum. Cleveland to Columbus is 143 road miles, Toledo to Cleveland is 114 and Columbus to Cincinnati is 107. Hops over the state line can fall short too: Cincinnati to Louisville is 99. For those rides, a local medical transport service is the better fit. Inside Ohio, only the longest drives clear the minimum, such as Toledo to Cincinnati at 202 and Cleveland to Cincinnati at 249.

Dayton to Denver is 1,201 road miles. A route that long takes two drivers plus the medical professional, so the van keeps moving safely while your loved one sleeps.
