Long distance senior transportation moves an elderly parent who can't manage a long car ride or a flight from one part of the country to another in a medical transport vehicle: bed to bed, with a trained medical professional beside them the whole way and a seat and a bed for family, right beside the patient.

Here's how this usually goes. You're the son or daughter who lives two states away from Mom, and two states away from where she's headed. You've been coordinating everything by phone for weeks: the discharge planner, the new assisted-living community, your brother, your sister. Everyone's asking you how she's actually going to get there.
