How our coverage works
ACC Medlink runs long distance ground medical transport between any two points in the 48 lower states. Trips start at a 200-mile minimum and there's no upper limit, coast to coast is routine for our crews, with two drivers rotating so the vehicle keeps moving safely while your loved one rests.
You don't need both addresses in the same region, and there's no "home territory" to worry about. Pickup in one state, drop-off in another (any state to any state) is exactly what the fleet is built for. Our own vehicles and our own crews make the entire trip; nothing gets handed off to another company at a state line.
Two honest limits: we are ground transport only, and we do not serve Alaska or Hawaii. Everything between the Atlantic, the Pacific, the Canadian border, and the Gulf is our service area.

“Everyone took exceptional care while transporting my mom from Florida to Ohio. They kept everyone informed of their location throughout the trip.”
Choose your state
Every state page covers common routes, major cities, and how a trip from or to that state works. Your pickup and destination states are both fair game, start with either.
Popular corridors
Certain routes come up again and again.
Northeast ↔ Florida
Families often move a parent from the Northeast down to Florida to be near retired relatives, or bring someone back north when care needs change.
Midwest → Sun Belt
Midwest-to-Sun-Belt trips (Ohio or Illinois down to Texas and Arizona) are another steady rhythm.
Coast to coast
Full coast-to-coast transports between California and the East Coast.
But the honest answer is that there is no "unusual" route: the trip is planned fresh each time around your two addresses, the discharge date, and the level of care on board, whether that's a well-worn corridor or a pairing we've never driven before.
Under 200 miles? Here's where to look
Our minimum trip is 200 miles. If your loved one needs a ride across town, dialysis three mornings a week, a clinic appointment, a discharge to a facility on the other side of the county, we're not the right company, and we'd rather tell you now than take your afternoon.
Those trips need a local operator who can be at the door in twenty minutes and do it again on Thursday. The fastest ways to find one:
- Ask the discharge planner or case manager at the facility, they book local transport every day and know who actually shows up on time.
- Call your Area Agency on Aging: every county has one, and they keep lists of vetted local medical transport and ambulette providers.
- Search for a licensed non-emergency medical transport (NEMT) or ambulette provider in your county, and ask whether they're contracted with the facility you're heading to.
- All Medical Transport: our sister directory of local medical transport providers, for trips under 200 miles.
If the trip is 200 miles or more, that's the whole thing we do: get a same-day quote or call 800-550-1025.
